    TRENDS This illustration was meant to be a magazine cover, but got killed at the last minute. The edition focused on the many similarities between Portland and Brooklyn. I was really happy with the final outcome of this piece. I feel like it successfully struck a delicate balance between design and illustration.  Yes, I know there’s more to Portland than accordions and fancy coffee. And yes, we’re all tired of Brooklyn’s good name being tarnished by hackneyed hipster stereotypes. I hear you. I feel your pain, and I will thoughtfully consider your criticism as I sit back and drink my craft-beer out of a growler and listen to an album from 1971 on my record player. Thank you.
